IS A C API ZISC SOFTWARE EMULATOR . THIS
API HAS THE SAME INTERFACE OF THE API SUPPLIED BY IBM BUT THE FUNCTIONS
BODY IS REALLY DIFFERENT. WHILE THE IBM API MUST MANAGE THE ISA/PCI
CARD(S) WITH ZISC(S), THE ZEM API MUST MANAGE A SOFTWARE EMULATION OF THE
ZISC CARD FUNCTIONALITY. THIS
EMULATION IS CONTAINED INSIDE THE LIBRARY ITSELF BUT IS ACCESSIBLE ONLY
USING THE IBM COMPLIANT API INTERFACE. THE
PURPOSE OF ZEM IS TO SUPPLY A LOW COST ZISC PROGRAMMING EDUCATION TOOL
THAT CANNOT OBVIOUSLY PERFORM IN REAL -TIME TASKS DUE TO THE UNMEASURABLE
SPEED DIFFERENCE RELATED TO ZISC CHIP. IF YOU
